Sunday morning, June 14,The Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise and Friends cooked over 100 hot meals at Fort York Food Bank for our homeless and marginally housed neighbors and friends.
And as you will see from our pictures, below, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed each other's company while doing this 🙂

Part of the fun is that we never know when we arrive what food we will have - and a big thanks to all our food donors! - so we plan menus on the spot. Today we were able to offer roast chicken, hot roast potatoes and carrots, fresh salad with our own made-on-the-spot dressing, and a fresh apple for everyone.

A big thanks to everyone who came and helped prep, cook, pack food and clean up - we couldn't do this without you!

And a special thanks to Megan, the Chair of the Fort York Food Bank's Kitchen Committee, for her hard work and leadership 🙂

The Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise leads this on the second Sunday morning of every month at the Fort York Food Bank. We work from 9:00am - 1:00pm. We would love to have you join us, for any part of that time you can contribute - please reach out to us at info@rotarytorontosunrise.com if you're interested in helping here or if you would like to find out more about Rotary and our Rotary Club - thanks!

The Fort York Food Bank is at 380 College Street, at Borden, near Kensington Market. There is a TTC streetcar stop at Borden, and there is free street parking (yes, in downtown Toronto!) on College Street until 1:00pm on Sundays.
